Sirocco restaurant has the most breathtaking view and a very impressive location. It is also known to have the most spacious open-air roof top restaurant not only in Bangkok but in Asia. While dining you can enjoy the good ambiance and live jazz music. True Refrigeration

Probably one of the hotels along the Chao Phraya River. Most of them are on the expensive side but most are 5-star hotels and not only among the best in Bangkok but two of them have at various times been rated the best in the world, The Mandarin Oriental and The Peninsula. Others along the river and for less money than the Oriental or Peninsula are the Shangri-La and Royal Orchid Sheration, also Le Bua located a couple blocks from the river has suites with balconies and some of the best views of the river and the city as well as an open-air rooftop restaurant. None of these hotels are cheap, but are good bargains compared to what the cost would be almost anywhere else in the world. This is one of many websites that offer substantial discounts on hotel rates, check the individual hotel websites for special offers, too.
